Wentworth House is a residential therapeutic community which provides high quality care and substitute parenting for up to 6 male children and young people aged between 10 – 17 years.
Our primary focus is to keep children safe whilst achieving our objectives of providing on-going intensive therapeutic, personalised care and educational structure and attainment.

Mary-Ann has worked in the child care industry for 19 years and has experience working with ages 3 months to 18 years. She has worked for both the council and private companies, ranging from Nurseries and crèches to residential homes. Mary-Ann has supported a range of complex needs including problematic sexual behaviour, emotional behaviour difficulties, autism, missing from care, CSE, self-harm, attachment disorders and global development delay along with supporting children going through bereavements including parents and siblings, mental health problems within the family supporting children through parents with Munchhausen, Narcolepsy, Bi Polar and other mental health problems supporting both children and families through difficult times within their life’s. Mary-Ann has worked her way up to manager over the last 9 years in residential care starting as a residential worker and working her way up to a senior residential worker prior to joining the company as a senior and moving over to The Chimneys as a Manager. Mary-Ann also has her NVQ 2 in childcare, NVQ 3 in children and young people, her diploma in health and social care and her level 5 in leadership and management.
